I’ve just recently started accepting guest blog posts on my blog and wanted to let you, my lovely readers, know all about it so you can start to reap the rewards too :)

What are the benefits of guest posting?

Guest posting is fantastic in so many ways. First of all, you get more exposure for your name and website by introducing yourself to my audience. The more people see you in different places, the more they will grow to like and trust you.

Next, you have the opportunity to get more traffic and leads from my blog. Your post will be permanent and will continue to send traffic to your site over time. At the end of every guest post there will be a link back to the author. You can also add one backlink to relevant, valuable content within the post itself.

Your content will also be shared out through my social media platforms and communities, as well as yours, giving you double the exposure for one post.

And of course, I get to give my readers some great new content from a different perspective.

Who Are My Readers?

My readers are primarily internet network marketers and affiliate marketers. Most of them are familiar with blogging, list building and social media and appreciate tips on the following:

  • Building an email list (lead generation)
  • Getting more traffic to their blog
  • Advice on selling affiliate products (training and tools for the internet network marketing industry)
  • Recruiting in to their network marketing businesses
  • Personal Development

Are there any rules?

In order to keep my blog in top condition I need to set a few rules for guest posting.

  • The content must be unique. It cannot be copied from your own blog, and it cannot be reused once published on my site.
  • No reviews or promotions for products, companies or services.
  • Valuable, useable content only. Give people something they can walk away with. Tips, tutorials and breakdowns of methods to build their businesses are best.
  • Please include at least one picture in your post. Please use a free website like http://sxc.hu to ensure the photos are safe to use.
  • I may need to edit your post for spelling and grammar. If I want to edit any more than that I will let you know before publishing.
  • Posts must be at least 500 words.
  • Take care of your post. I expect you to share your post as you would if it were on your own blog and you MUST reply to the comments posted by others. It doesn’t look good for you if you don’t respond and I will be reluctant to post anything by you again.

When Will I Find Out If My Post Has Been Approved?

I will usually let you know within a day or two of your submission. If I am going to publish it, it will be in about a week unless I have a lot of guest posts waiting to go out. I will keep you informed. If your post is not approved, you may use it elsewhere if you wish.

How Do I Get Started?

  1. Register here with your full details.
  2. Fill out your bio and include your website using HTML. You may also add your twitter and/or Facebook page link.
  3. Visit Gravatar.com and make sure you have a picture in your profile. This will be the image that shows up at the end of your blog post and in all your comments on this site (and any other wordpress sites you comment on). You MUST do this in order to have a post published.
  4. Email me at macgregor.rachael@gmail.com with your username to let me know you have registered and would like to guest post. I will then upgrade your account so you can log in and submit your post (it will look just like any other wordpress blog when you are logged in).
  5. Write your post as normal and save it when you are finished. I will review it as soon as possible and let you know if/when it will be published.
