So what is a network marketing internet business and is it worth starting your own? Anyone in network marketing has probably been told at one point or another to call their friends and family and offer them the chance to look at your business opportunity. Well this was fine back when we had limited access to resources on the subject of making an income at home but now when you tell a friend or family member about your business then can very easily, and probably will, check out your business by searching for it in google.

Now they will find lots of things about making money from home, internet network marketing and other MLM companies. What are the chances that they will find something negative about network marketing from someone who was angry that they made no money? High. What are the chances that they will see a competitor bashing your company? High! Believe me, I’ve been there.

Hmm, ok, so how should I build my network marketing business?

So how do you succeed in network marketing? You utilize the internet to ATTRACT people who already know about network marketing, understand that there is work involved just like in any business and want to learn more about doing it properly. Isn’t that the BEST person to recruit into your MLM business? Someone who already WANTS to succeed?

3 Steps For Starting Your Network Marketing Internet Business

1. First you need to determine where your central ‘hub’ online is going to be. I HIGHLY recommend that you use a self-hosted wordpress blog. What does this mean? It just means that you own your website and blog. You can get a free wordpress blog on their server BUT this means they can remove you whenever they want if you break their rules. They are not keen on any network marketing/work from home blogs so I would steer clear and just get a domain and hosting through somewhere like godaddy (use the code diggnation to get money off your domain name!). It’s inexpensive and a blog is absolutely the best way to get found by google, build up a strong following and community and is easy to integrate with things like Facebook and Twitter for even more traffic.
2. Create your content. Think about what people that are ALREADY trying to build businesses online need to know about. What are theirproblems? For example, in network marketing some of the biggest problems people face is a lack of leads and attrition (or lack of duplication) in their team. Find out about these topics and share them on your blog. By helping people solve those problems you are proving yourself as a leader and will ATTRACT people to you who want to work more closely with you in your business. Now you have to share that content to start driving traffic. Use social media to share the link to your new blog post. Be sure to start building a following of like-minded people on Twitter and Facebook so that you can start driving them to your website. 3. Build your mailing list. Put a web form on your page so that you can start generating leads for your business. These are people that are interested in learning more about you and your business. You can continue to send them messages, tips and training via your autoresponder (like Aweber) to build up the relationship with them. By building a large list you will build a strong following and start to recruit people into your business as you build up the trust.
